Badass Beauty Review: Tarte Maracuja Oil.

Fire, passion, ambition, love, confidence and respect of self and others. These are traits that make a woman beautiful. But there’s nothing wrong with putting your best face forward. We scour the world far and wide to bring you the products that should be tucked into your makeup bag.

The Promise: Firmer, brighter, smoother skin and super-hydration sans the greasy finish.

The Ingredients: Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil, Tocopherol.

The Process: As this is an oil, I placed my serum and moisturizer on before finishing with the product (doing first would block the skin from soaking in the other good stuff). I used the oil twice a day, in the morning and before bed for two weeks.

The Pros: I was expecting the oil to feel heavy but was impressed by how light it was and how quickly it was absorbed by my skin. I also love that that it is dermatologist-tested and mineral oil-free which kept pimples at bay.

The Cons: Make sure to always tighten the top, one spill and your makeup bag is a gooey mess.

The Result: I love this stuff! There are some products that over-promise, but this one actually seemed humble in its presentation. My skin not only looked firmer, brighter and smoother, but it also felt supple and super hydrated. Since adding it to my beauty routine, I have received numerous compliments on my skin and even felt confident enough to go out sans makeup–but not sans sunscreen–without the slightest concern.
