Perla Formentini Puts Spring In Our Step

SHARE

When I think about my sartorial choices for spring, I think of beautiful pops of pastels, bright blues, crisp whites and of course, as a New Yorker, I always require a little bit of black.

It was for this reason that I fell in love instantly at the Perla Formentini event in New York last week. Made in Marche, Italy, the designs are perfect for the corner-office-to-cocktails set who believe that one should not have to choose between the luxuries of chic sophistication and comfort. Let’s be honest: no one is looking for a blister by 11pm.

As a fashion blogger, I truly admire a brand that can be on-point style-wise while still keeping things comfortable and even somewhat casual. I plan to wear these beauties to the office, to cover the shows, to dinner and also on the many getaways I have planned for the summer. I love a shoe that can get me through an entire season (in tact), especially given how much I’m walking around the city in the warmer months. The rich leather suggests they will be in my closet (and on my feet) for years to come.

Here are my six picks for spring:

Annetta_Black and White_4-7-16

1 | Annetta, black and bone.

I’ve been after the perfect pair of lace-up pointy flats and this pair really nails it. The cutout detail is just to die for! Every woman can use a slightly androgynous shoe in her wardrobe.

Sofia_Electric Blue_4-7-16

2 | Sofia, electric blue.

Bright blue is the best color to brighten up all of those neutral items in your wardrobe that need a facelift for spring. The shape of this shoe screams sexy sophistication while the height says I’m here to dance all night – which I love.

Lia_Lilac_4-7-16

3 | Lia, lilac.

This is the perfect little flat to wear with jeans or even a mini when you’re running out the door to grab groceries or meeting a friend for some casual drinks. You name it! The beautiful pastel color and circular detail really take this otherwise plain flat to the next level.

4 | Enrica, black.

This is the sandal I want to live in all summer. With shorts or a cute LBD, the stud detailing make the Enrica a looker. One in every color, please!

Chiara_Rose Nude Gold_4-7-16

5 | Chiara, rose beige and gold.

Rose gold has had quite the moment this year and I truly can’t get enough of it. This two-tone rose gold detail packs a serious punch. Business in the front, par-tay in the back!

Ines_Green_4-7-16

6 | Ines, green.

The perfect not so basic strappy sandal: refined, yet fun. These will take you from your sunset sail around the Hudson harbor to drinks with your friends at the Gramercy Park hotel. Now that says a lot!

Which of these would be your go to spring shoe?
