How To Keep Up With The 2016 Olympics

SHARE

The Olympics officially starts today! This 16 day event – from the opening to closing ceremonies – will take place in Rio in the beautiful country of Brazil. The summer games will include swimming, basketball, gymnastics, boxing, beach volleyball, and so much more. So how do you keep up with all these events? Surely having a 9 to 5 job is going to interfere with the schedule! There’s no way to watch everything! Don’t worry, there are several ways you can stay up to date with your favorite events. Here are the 3 best ways to watch this year’s Olympic games.

1 | On NBC.

While there are other TV options to watch, NBC is your Olympic one-stop shop. With their programming running from 10AM to 5PM, 8PM to midnight, and 12:35AM to 1:35AM, with reruns going from 1:35AM to 4:30AM, it’s hard to miss any of the action.

2 | On an app.

If you’re like me and at a job most of the day that doesn’t let you just sit around and stare at a TV – because for some reason your boss wants you to be productive – an app is the best way to go. You can download the official Olympics app for iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone. The best part about this app is that if you want to check the results of a specific sport, you’re able to run a search for it with no effort! You can also keep up with the latest news, the schedule, and see stunning photos from Rio.

3 | On a live stream.

If you want that visual stimulation that comes from a TV, but that pesky job gets in the way, turn to NBC’s live streaming feature. You can watch the coverage on your computer throughout the day; just make sure that you have another tab ready to switch to in case your boss checks up on you. The best thing about a live stream is that it’s like listening to a radio: you can hear everything you need to while still keeping on top of your work.

Don’t miss any of the summer games this year. It would be so embarrassing if you missed out on that life changing goal or your country winning the gold! However you watch, make sure you support your country’s team and cheer them on!
