The Bunyadi: London’s First Nude Restaurant

SHARE

Have you ever been eating at home alone while sporting your birthday suite? It’s amazing, right? You feel free and comfortable in your own skin, the only downside is that you’re confined to your home. This summer, you will be able to go out to dinner au naturel, if you can get a reservation. That’s right; soon, The Bunyadi will open in London. Guests are invited to “enter a secret Pangea-like world, free from phones, electric lights and even clothing” (which is optional). In the popup restaurant, there will be a naked section as well as a non-naked area for people to dine in. There is a changing area and robes for those who wish dine unclothed.

Founder, Seb Lyall, is opening the restaurant in June. Lyall told The Washington Post, “When you get a chance, you take your clothes off… When you get in bed, you take your clothes off. When you go to the beach or a sauna, you take your clothes off.” The goal of The Bunyadi is to provide an experience that is a “true liberation.”

International Business Times reports that Bunyadi is Hindi for ‘natural’ which goes along with the restaurants goal of taking patrons back to a time when everything was new and fresh. While the menu is currently unknown to the general public, diners can expect their food, either vegan or non-vegan, to be cooked over a fire made only with wood.

The Bunyadi is attracting a lot of attention. At this moment, there are over 26,000 people on the waiting list to experience the liberated dining. That number continues to grow with every refresh of their webpage. If you’re lucky enough to live in London, or plan on being there over the summer, we recommend getting your name on the list now! It will be an unique and freeing experience.
